The explorers' ship was now very close to the South Atlantic, a place where, then, there was no record of human beings having passed through.
And then the lookout saw that huge ice shelf from the horizon, heading straight towards them, and shouted at the top of his lungs "iceberg." The captain did not hesitate and ordered the sailors to steer the sail in such a way as to take full advantage of the wind so that the ship could go faster, while he steered the ship to change course and move away from the iceberg.
At last they succeeded: the danger had passed.
